Megafon poll shows right-wing parties surge as governing parties slip
A new Megafon poll finds the blue bloc gaining ground while the parties in government lose support.
According to the latest Megafon poll, parties on the right-hand side of Danish politics are closing the gap with the governing coalition. Dansk Folkeparti and De Konservative each register gains, and Liberal Alliance posts a modest rise. Venstre experiences a sharp drop of four points, reaching its lowest ever level and securing only 11 parliamentary seats.
Among the governing parties, Socialdemokratiet falls by two points and SF drops by more than three points, whereas Radikale Venstre and Moderaterne hold steady. Media commentary links Venstre's slump to its support for the fertilizer law and a perceived lack of clear value-based policies on immigration, school issues and secularism. The poll suggests that parties with stricter immigration stances and clearer value positions are being rewarded by voters.
