Met Police decide no charges for rapper's IDF death chant at London rally
London police have concluded that no criminal action will be taken against punk rapper Bobby Vylan for chanting “death to the IDF” at an Al Quds Day protest.
During an Al Quds Day demonstration on Albert Embankment, punk rapper Bobby Vylan (Pascal Robinson-Foster) shouted “death, death to the IDF.” The Metropolitan Police opened an inquiry into the language used and, after seeking early advice from the Crown Prosecution Service, decided that no further legal steps will be taken. A police spokesperson noted the concerns raised by London’s Jewish communities and affirmed ongoing cooperation with community representatives to ensure safety.
Vylan responded online, stating he will not be intimidated by the prospect of prosecution. This follows a similar review by Avon and Somerset Police after a Glastonbury Festival performance in June 2025, which also resulted in no further action.
