Meta expands its AI-driven Pocket gaming app to all U.S. users

Meta has launched Pocket, its AI-powered vibe-coding game creator, nationwide across the United States after a test run in Brazil.

Meta’s experimental gaming platform Pocket, which generates bite-size interactive experiences from AI prompts, is now open to every user in the United States after a quiet beta in Brazil. The app produces “gizmos” that respond to screen taps, device tilt, sound effects, music snippets, and can incorporate images from a user’s camera roll or live camera feed. Pocket stems from Meta’s acqui-hire of the team behind the vibe-coded gaming service Gizmo earlier this year and joins a suite of recent AI-focused offerings, including Meta AI image generation, Vibes video creation, and AI bedtime stories.

Mark Zuckerberg highlighted that AI-driven software development allows Meta to test and ship new ideas faster, pointing to recent releases such as Instagram Instants, the stand-alone Groups app Forum, and the Seller Marketplace app. The new platform enables creators to post their gizmos on their profiles, where others can save, remix, or repost them. Meta continues to expand its portfolio of AI-enhanced mobile applications, adding a Mac-based Meta AI app this week.

Why it matters

The rollout shows Meta’s push to mainstream AI-generated content and could reshape how users create and share mobile games.
