Metropolitan Police officer charged with two sexual assault offenses while on duty
A 43-year-old Metropolitan Police officer, Islam Abdel-Hady, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault involving women he knew, stemming from incidents in early 2020 and last year.
Islam Abdel-Hady, a constable attached to the Met’s west area basic command unit covering Ealing, Hounslow and Hillingdon, faces two separate sexual-assault charges. The alleged offenses occurred in January 2020 and February of the previous year, and the victims were acquainted with the officer. He has been suspended from his duties and is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 5 October.
