Mexican journalist Hamurabi Huesca Manzano fatally shot in Oaxaca
Hamurabi Huesca Manzano, owner of the Pinotepa Comunica website, was killed by gunfire in Oaxaca state, according to the state prosecutor.
The state prosecutor reported that an armed group opened fire on Hamurabi Huesca Manzano and two companions, killing Manzano. He ran a news site covering politics and local issues in Santiago Pinotepa Nacional and also worked as a taxi driver. Article 19 urged authorities to prioritize the investigation of his journalistic work. The killing adds to a tally of journalist murders tracked by Reporters Without Borders.
