Michael Kelly joins Landman season three as oil-industry magnate William Crockett

Michael Kelly, recently seen in the second season of the Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña spy series, is set to become a series regular on the third season of Landman, a Paramount+ drama about West Texas oil booms. He will play William Crockett, the leader of the globe’s biggest oil-management corporation, characterized as an efficient, money-driven industry titan. The role succeeds Jon Hamm’s Monty Miller, whose death at the end of season one elevated Demi Moore’s character in the storyline.

Season three is described by co-creator Christian Wallace as a "reset" for the show, focusing on Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) and his team launching a new oil venture. Kelly’s representation includes WME, Liebman Entertainment and Schreck Rose Dapello. Landman is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios and Taylor Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions, with multiple executive producers attached.
