Michelin awards 19 Irish hotels its 2026 Keys, adding four newcomers

Michelin released its 2026 hotel ratings, naming 19 Irish establishments as recipients of its prestigious Keys. The elite Three Keys category was retained by Adare Manor in Co Limerick and Ballyfin Demesne in Co Laois, the only hotels in Ireland and the UK to hold that rank. Four properties joined the One Key level for the first time: Dublin's Fitzwilliam Hotel and The Leinster Hotel, Glenlo Abbey in Galway City, and Marlfield House in Gorey, Co Wexford.

The list also confirmed the continued One Key status of hotels such as Gregans Castle and Castlemartyr Resort, while Two Key honours went to venues like Ashford Castle in Co Mayo and The Merrion in Dublin. Michelin notes that a Key can be awarded regardless of a Michelin-starred restaurant, though many listed hotels do feature such dining options. The guide now covers about 9,000 hotels in more than 100 countries.
