The BKB heavyweight title defense originally slated for Gustavo Trujillo versus Mark O'Neil was upended when O'Neil could not obtain a visa. Mick Terrill, who previously captured the vacant BKFC heavyweight crown in 2023 before losing it to Ben Rothwell, stepped in after only 12 hours’ notice, swapping his commentator role for a featured fight. Trujillo enters the bout with a perfect 12-0 professional boxing record and has finished every BKB opponent inside a round.

Terrill brings an 11-2 record, including ten knockouts, and a reputation for taking fights on short notice. BKB chief David Tetreault described the substitution as embodying the promotion’s “real fighters, real fights, no waiting around” philosophy. Terrill’s own mantra, “I’ll fight any man, any time, any where,” was met with Trujillo’s warning, “Be careful what you wish for.” The bout now serves as a headline attraction for the BKB 58 event.
