The 22nd Malaysia International Halal Showcase (Mihas 2026) begins tomorrow at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, projecting RM5 billion in sales value and drawing roughly 50,000 visitors over four days. The event will host 1,700 companies occupying 2,000 exhibition booths, serving as a hub for the global halal economy. Malaysia External Trade Development Corp CEO Datuk Abu Bakar Yusof said a new AI agent will provide personalised support to help participants discover partners and arrange meetings.
The flagship international sourcing programme aims to facilitate 4,000 business meetings between 450 overseas buyers—including 50 premium buyers—and around 600 Malaysian exporters. A dedicated Women in Export Forum pavilion will showcase 80 booths, highlighting female entrepreneurs in the halal sector, while daily runway shows and live cooking demos add further attraction.
