Mike Holman's Cuban Mission Gains Momentum as Teams Tackle Logistics and Water Crisis

In the latest installment of Scott McKay’s thriller, operatives Douglas Thibaud and Selena Jimenez navigate a complex supply chain in Cuba, repairing a broken water main and preparing a new pier for incoming cargo.

Douglas Thibaud and Selena Jimenez, operating under the cover of Canadian contractors, embark on a mission to support a covert Cuban operation. Their journey begins in Vancouver, proceeds through a delayed flight to the tiny Bahamian outpost of Duncan Town, and culminates in Gibara, where they encounter a water main break that has left the town without running water. With the help of Sentinel Security personnel and local party secretary Aldo Pupo, they deliver repair parts and install a temporary water solution, while also overseeing the construction of a new pontoon pier to replace the inadequate dock.

Ex-CIA veteran Jack Gray supplies bug-removal devices and advises on communications security. The team also seeks permission from the provincial cultural heritage office to repurpose a historic tower for port operations, illustrating the blend of infrastructure work and political negotiation that underpins the larger plot to free Cuba.
