Mike Leigh's "Loving Tender Care" Takes Golden Shell at San Sebastián Festival
Mike Leigh won the Golden Shell for Best Film with "Loving Tender Care" at the 74th San Sebastián Festival, also earning Best Screenplay.
At the 74th San Sebastián Festival, Mike Leigh's "Loving Tender Care" was awarded the Golden Shell for Best Film, and Leigh also took home the prize for Best Screenplay. Actress Kate O'Flynn received the Silver Shell for Best Actress for her performance in the same film. The Silver Shell for Best Director went to Amanda Kernel for the Finnish drama "Brace Your Heart", which follows a young woman inheriting a reindeer herd.
Javier Cámara was recognized with the Silver Shell for Best Supporting Actor for his work in "Cinco minutos más". The Special Jury Prize was given to "Border" by Chinese filmmaker Ah Biao, and Oskar Dahlsbakken won Best Cinematography for "Growth of Soil" directed by Hans Petter Moland.
