Ministry files reports alleging interference in TalentCorp review process

The ministry submitted reports after receiving evidence of alleged meddling in TalentCorp's ongoing review, citing misinformation and influence attempts.

Following receipt of evidence, the ministry lodged formal reports alleging interference in the review of TalentCorp. The alleged misconduct includes efforts to disseminate misleading information, influence personnel within the agency, and shift focus away from matters under examination. Officials emphasized that such behavior threatens the integrity and independence of the review and vowed to reject any attempts to undermine the process.

In response, the ministry is working with TalentCorp to reinforce governance structures, improve compliance, and refine approval and operational protocols. A joint assessment identified shortcomings in the agency's constitution, internal controls and accountability mechanisms. All TalentCorp staff and management have been asked to fully cooperate to ensure a fair and objective investigation. The agency's core mission—enhancing graduate employability, building future-ready skills and boosting workforce participation—will proceed uninterrupted.

Why it matters
