Minor fire breaks out at historic Café Nicola in Lisbon, one lightly injured

On Thursday afternoon, a fire ignited at the historic Café Nicola located on Praça do Rossio in Lisbon's downtown area. The incident was reported to the fire service at 15:10, prompting a response of 30 firefighters and ten fire engines from Bombeiros Sapadores de Lisboa. The café was reportedly crowded when the flames broke out, and smoke forced the evacuation of the Banco de Portugal building's cafeteria situated next door. By 15:58, officials confirmed the fire had been fully extinguished. One individual sustained a light injury due to inhaling smoke, but no further casualties were reported.
