Minor offshore quake rattles South Bay area near Los Angeles on Sunday morning
A magnitude-3.5 earthquake struck offshore near the South Bay, producing weak shaking that was felt across the Los Angeles coastal region.
The tremor, recorded by the USGS, generated intensity level III shaking, which residents described as mild. Hundreds of “Did You Feel It?” responses were logged from the South Bay area. No significant damage or injuries have been reported, and authorities have not issued a tsunami warning.
