Miss Michigan contestant sheds 170 pounds after a humiliating trampoline park incident

Amber Uhler, Miss Michigan, entered the Miss USA competition after losing 170 pounds, a change sparked by a doctor’s warning and a stuck-in-foam-pit episode.

Amber Uhler, representing Michigan at the Miss USA pageant in Miami, transformed her health after a doctor warned her that her obesity could lead to an early grave. A humiliating incident at a trampoline park, where she became stuck in a foam pit and required assistance from several men, reinforced her resolve. Determined to change, she set a goal of competing in a beauty pageant and adopted a regimen centered on diet, eventually finding success with Jenny Craig’s pre-portioned meals.

She incorporated daily walks and persisted through setbacks, losing 170 pounds over three and a half years. Her prior titles include Mrs. Florida Universe (2024) and Mrs. Universe USA (2025). At 41, she is the oldest contestant this year and hopes her story shows that personal narratives can be rewritten.
