Mississippi detectives say Tasia Fortune's death preceded a staged hanging
Investigators say the body of 29-year‑old Tasia Fortune was found hanging behind an abandoned house in Jackson after she had already died, describing the scene as a staged hanging. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide and a murder charge was filed. Police have arrested Jarques Ratliff, 51, who has entered a not‑guilty plea and is being held without bond, and Earnest Lloyd Jr., 25.
