From October 2024 through August 2026, Malaysia's My Second Home programme recorded 7,650 new applications spanning Platinum, Gold, Silver and Special Economic Zone tiers. These participants have injected over RM5 billion into the property market and RM3.82 billion into fixed-deposit accounts, underscoring the scheme's role in attracting foreign direct investment. Deputy Minister Chiew Choon Man noted that Chinese nationals submitted the largest share of applications, with Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States following.
To further tap key markets such as Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea, the MM2H One-Stop Centre will organize overseas sales missions. Chiew also met with consultants and stakeholders from real-estate, education, healthcare and banking sectors at the 14th MM2H National Workshop to gather feedback and ensure regulatory compliance.
