Modi government to hand out 51,000 job letters at 20th Rozgar Mela
The Narendra Modi administration will distribute appointment letters for over 51,000 positions at the upcoming 20th Rozgar Mela, part of a series that has offered about 1.9 million jobs.
Rozgar Melas, organized by the Modi government since October 2022, have advertised roughly 1.9 million vacancies across 19 events. The 20th fair, scheduled for Saturday, will provide appointment letters for more than 51,000 jobs. In 2023, 557,000 of the total offers were made, and about 100,000 were announced in February 2024 ahead of the general election. Despite these numbers, the overall size of the public workforce grew modestly, reaching 3.31 million by March 1, 2024.
