A speed-camera captured Mohamed Salah’s Rolls-Royce Spectre exceeding the limit in Wilmslow, prompting British authorities to request the driver’s identity. Salah declined to reveal the name and missed two summonses, leading to a six-month driving disqualification. He was also ordered to pay a £660 fine, £120 court costs and a £264 surcharge.
The penalty was applied not for proven speeding but for his failure to identify the driver. Currently a forward for Turkey’s Trabzonspor, Salah has a history of traffic offences, including a 2022 Ferrari speed breach that resulted in a £200 fine and three penalty points, and a 2018 incident where he was filmed using a mobile phone while driving. The latest sanction adds to his record of legal issues off the pitch.
