Mondelez Ireland lifts profits in 2025 after steep cocoa price hikes and price hikes
Mondelez Ireland reported a 31% rise in operating profit for 2025, driven by price increases after cocoa costs jumped 160% in 2024.
In its 2025 directors’ report, Mondelez Ireland Ltd disclosed a 31% jump in operating profit, reaching €5.55 million, while revenue climbed 11% to €350.98 million after the company lifted chocolate prices in response to a 160% increase in cocoa costs in 2024. The board attributed the growth to “pricing actions” and intensified marketing of core brands, which also helped secure a €16 million dividend for shareholder Kraft Foods Schweiz Holding Gmbh.
Pre-tax profit edged up to €6.62 million, though interest income fell sharply. The firm claimed market-share gains in total confectionery and the protein segment, offset by a small decline in biscuit share, and said its “invest” strategy in candy is delivering volume growth. Directors highlighted continued innovation, a focus on high-growth channels such as online sales, and a modest increase in staff numbers to 80, with staff costs falling to €8.86 million.
