Mongrel Mob members sentenced after March brawl injures ten patrons at Hastings bar

A senior Mongrel Mob figure received a 31-month prison term for leading a violent assault that left ten people injured at the Common Room bar in Hastings.

During the early hours of March 8, a fight broke out at the Common Room bar in Hastings, quickly turning into a violent assault on ten customers. Senior gang member Winitana Lucky Dellow led the attacks, punching multiple victims and delivering an uppercut that knocked a woman unconscious. He was convicted on ten charges and sentenced to 31 months in prison, with more than six months already served.

Four other Mongrel Mob affiliates received sentences ranging from 12 months of home detention to six months of community detention with curfew and supervision. The bar has since closed to the general public after an arson attempt in August and ongoing operational difficulties.
