Morgan Stanley interns reveal favorite brands, workouts and dining habits
A survey of over 500 North American summer interns at Morgan Stanley shows their top choices for sneakers, apparel, food and fitness.
The equity research division at Morgan Stanley collected responses from over 500 North American summer interns, primarily 21 years old or younger, to track lifestyle trends. Nike stayed the most popular sneaker at 28%, down from previous years, as On moved into second place with 13% and Hoka took third. In apparel, Zara led with 22% and Uniqlo close behind at 21%, while Lululemon slipped to 19% and Ralph Lauren rose to 18%.
Luxury handbags saw Chanel and Dior at the top, and Coach and Longchamp followed. Chipotle was the clear favorite restaurant (57%), with independent coffee shops edging out Starbucks for drinks. Mercedes topped car brand preferences, and more than 40% of interns said they would choose a hybrid vehicle. Indoor gyms remain the primary workout venue, and Uber and Waymo are the leading robotaxi choices.
