Mortar attacks in Laval's Saint-Nicolas district cause vehicle fires and property damage
Overnight, mortar fire struck the Saint-Nicolas area of Laval, igniting several vehicles and damaging the entrance of a local store.
During the night between Friday and Saturday, mortar shells landed in Laval's Saint-Nicolas neighborhood, setting fire to multiple vehicles belonging to the Maison du Département and Adapei 53. The blast also damaged the entrance of a Conforama retail outlet. Authorities say a group of about twenty youths is suspected of carrying out the attack.
