Mother and daughter’s car rammed and smashed on Gurugram road by suspect
A mother and her 24-year-old daughter were attacked on Golf Course Road in Gurugram when a black Mahindra Scorpio rammed their Maruti Swift and damaged it with an iron rod.
On the night of August 27, a 45-year-old woman from Sector-55 and her 24-year-old daughter were traveling toward the Sector-54 rapid metro station on Golf Course Road in Gurugram when a black Mahindra Scorpio with a temporary number intercepted and rammed their grey Maruti-Suzuki Swift at AIT Chowk. After the collision, the driver allegedly brandished an iron rod, shattered the car’s headlight and drove away. The mother reported the attack to police, but claims no immediate action was taken.
An FIR was finally lodged at the Sector 56 police station, charging the driver under sections 125, 281 and 324(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The case is being investigated amid concerns that the same stretch was the site of a separate ramming of biker Shivani “Sia” Chauhan on September 13. Despite the victim’s dash-cam footage, authorities have not yet identified the suspect.
