Mother launches petition to recall prosecutor over illegal alien murder

On February 23, 2026, Stephanie Minter was found dead at a Fairfax, Virginia bus stop after being repeatedly stabbed, an attack linked to Abdul Jalloh, an illegal alien from Sierra Leone with more than 30 prior arrests. Prosecutor Steve Descano had previously allowed Jalloh to remain free despite a history of violent charges, a decision Cheryl Minter says directly led to her daughter’s death.
