The child managed to reach a local business for help before the mother arrived, after which police were called and both mother and daughter were taken to the Pyrgos police station.
The four women were later sentenced to two months in prison with a fifteen-month suspension. Ongoing threats forced the family to abandon their home and relocate, fearing further violence against them.
