Motorcycle crash kills rider, shuts sole road to Phillip Island
A motorcycle-car collision on Phillip Island Road near San Remo killed the rider and forced the only link to Phillip Island to close in both directions.
Emergency services responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on Phillip Island Road at about 6:20 a.m. near San Remo. The motorcyclist was given CPR but died at the scene, while the car driver walked away unharmed. Police confirmed that the road, which is the sole access route to San Remo and Phillip Island, has been closed to traffic in both directions.
