Motorcyclist receives heavy fine for riding at nearly three times the speed limit in Somogy

Police in Somogy County fined a motorcyclist a large amount after he was measured traveling at about three times the permitted speed.

According to the Somogy County Police Headquarters, a motorcyclist was detected traveling at approximately 130 km/h where the legal limit is 50 km/h near the town of Mesztegnyő. Marcali police officers intervened and issued a hefty administrative fine along with a points penalty. The exact monetary figure was not disclosed, but it represents one of the maximum sanctions for this type of violation.

Police officials warned that excessive speed threatens the safety of the driver and other motorists. They noted that routine speed checks are conducted daily to promote compliance and reduce traffic injuries and fatalities.
