Motorcyclist Stabbed in Alleged Robbery Near Ceuta Mercadona, Treated by Legion Patrol
A motorcyclist was injured in a suspected robbery near the Mercadona store in Ceuta after being attacked by four assailants.
In the early hours of Friday, a Ceuta resident riding a motorcycle near the Mercadona in La Almadraba was confronted by four people attempting to take his mobile phone and a gold necklace. The confrontation, occurring around 3:45 a.m. near the roundabout between the Sidi Embarek cemetery and the road to the University Hospital, left the motorcyclist with several knife injuries on both flanks and one hand. After the attack he rode to a Legion patrol stationed in the same area, where soldiers rendered aid and recorded his account of the four alleged attackers.
He was subsequently transported to the emergency department of the Hospital Universitario de Ceuta for medical care. Police have been notified and are working to locate and identify the suspects, with the investigation focusing on the circumstances of the robbery attempt.
