Moyes said his primary liaison is chief executive Angus Kinnear, followed by Friedkin’s son-in-law Rishi Majithia, and that any communication with the owner is indirect. The club’s summer transfer window has been turbulent, with supporters upset over a rejected £40 million offer for England Under-19 midfielder Harrison Armstrong and the deadline-day departure of striker Beto to Fiorentina.
A last-minute deal for forward Folarin Balogun collapsed, leaving the squad with only 18 senior players and a shortage of strikers and full-backs. Moyes aligned himself with fan frustrations, emphasizing the need for stronger supporter backing while acknowledging the owners are still learning the club’s operations.
