Mphasis expands contract to maintain Scotland's core benefits platform

Mphasis announced an extension of its collaboration with Social Security Scotland, taking responsibility for the agency's benefits management platform that serves roughly 2 million people. The firm will provide ongoing support, maintenance and incident mitigation for the case-management system that handles applications, eligibility assessments and disbursements for benefits such as disability aid and heating support. By focusing on stability and resilience, Mphasis seeks to ensure continuous access to essential services for individuals, families and communities.
The agreement also aims to lower the likelihood of major service interruptions and improve operational efficiency. Executive Vice President Ashish Devalekar highlighted the project's alignment with Mphasis' broader public-sector strategy of delivering secure, reliable digital services.
