Multicultural teen gang accused of torturing 14-year-old in Neubrandenburg
Police say a group of about ten youths aged nine to 15 assaulted a 14-year-old boy in Neubrandenburg, causing injuries and burns.
Neubrandenburg police allege that a multicultural group of around ten minors, ranging from nine to 15 years old, subjected a 14-year-old German boy to prolonged physical abuse, including kicking, striking with objects and inflicting burns. The assault was recorded and circulated on social media, allowing investigators to secure the footage and identify all participants. Four suspects, who have reached the age of 14, have been charged with dangerous bodily injury, coercion, insult and unlawful filming of a private act.
The remaining younger children are being reported to the youth welfare office. This case follows a separate attack on a 12-year-old in the same city two weeks earlier, though police say the incidents are unrelated.
