Multiple Dutch train stations evacuated after unattended luggage discovered

Police were alerted at approximately 10.15 am to two unattended suitcases at Haarlem station, leading to a complete evacuation and a halt to all train movements to and from the city. The surrounding area was cordoned off with safety tape, and the disruption is expected to last until at least 12.30 pm, according to one outlet railway operator. In the same morning, two more unattended bags were discovered in the pedestrian tunnel of Rotterdam Centraal, causing a temporary closure of the tunnel while explosives checks were carried out.

At Utrecht station, two unattended bags triggered a partial shutdown of the hall for about fifteen minutes, with some platforms also closed; the bags were examined and deemed safe. Police have arrested two people on suspicion of disturbing public order for leaving luggage unattended. All investigations so far indicate no hazardous contents in any of the items.
