Multiple victims injured in mass stabbing near Salinas park
A stabbing incident near Cesar Chavez Park in Salinas left three people with serious wounds, one of them in critical condition, but all are expected to survive.
Around 5:17 p.m. on Sunday, officers were dispatched to East Street near Cesar Chavez Park in Salinas after a stabbing was reported. Upon arrival, they discovered three individuals with serious knife injuries, and a fourth injured person later presented themselves at Natividad Medical Center at about 5:23 p.m. One of the victims was initially classified as being in critical condition, though all three are now expected to survive.
The Salinas Police Department has not provided information on a possible suspect, nor confirmed any arrests. The investigation is ongoing, and police have not explained what triggered the attack or whether the victims were acquainted.
