Musk says SpaceX AI earnings will soon outstrip all other revenue streams

In a recorded all-hands session shared on X, Elon Musk highlighted artificial intelligence as a pivotal element of SpaceX's strategy. He predicted that AI-related income will overtake all other company revenues by September and will constitute the majority of earnings in the fourth quarter. Musk detailed ambitions for the Grok family of large language models, saying they will be trained on the full scope of SpaceX information, effectively learning from employees themselves.

The firm, which went public in June and rebranded to SpaceXAI following the purchase of xAI, is also planning to launch data centers into orbit for AI training and to rely exclusively on Nvidia's Vera Rubin architecture for computing. Recent acquisitions include the AI coding startup Cursor for $60 billion. SpaceX continues to offer launch services, crewed spacecraft, and the Starlink satellite network alongside its AI initiatives.
