Najib Razak still awaiting official conditional pardon document for house arrest

Eight days after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong exercised his prerogative to grant a conditional pardon to Datuk Seri Najak Razak, neither the former prime minister nor prison officials have received the official letter outlining the terms. His counsel, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, told reporters that the absence of the document prevents the legal team from determining the conditions of the house-arrest arrangement. The prison authorities likewise confirm they have not been handed the paperwork.

Shafee described the situation as unusual and said the delay is affecting the next legal moves. The issue was raised following court proceedings in Kuala Lumpur, where the case stems from Najib's conviction for the SRC International scandal.
