Nancy Pelosi's family invests heavily in Bloom Energy amid AI power surge
A financial disclosure shows Paul Pelosi bought thousands of Bloom Energy shares and call options as AI-driven electricity demand rises.
A congressional financial disclosure reveals that Paul Pelosi purchased a total of 15,000 shares of Bloom Energy and 200 call options in July. The initial 10,000-share purchase and 100 call options were reported on July 24, with values between $1 million and $5 million, followed by an additional 5,000 shares and 100 call options on July 28, valued between $500,000 and $1 million and $1 million to $5 million respectively.
Bloom Energy, based in San Jose, manufactures on-site fuel-cell power systems that are being adopted by data-center operators facing grid-connection delays, including a major deal with Oracle. Shares of Bloom have more than doubled since early 2026, rising after the disclosure became public. Pelosi’s office reiterated that she does not own any stocks and had no involvement in the trades. The filing comes as Pelosi, who is not seeking reelection, has previously opposed and later supported stricter rules on congressional stock trading.
