NASA and ESA astronauts complete six-hour spacewalk to install new communications antenna
NASA flight engineer Anil Menon and ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot performed a six-hour, 23-minute EVA on Aug. 18, 2026, working on the International Space Station.
During the Aug. 18 spacewalk, the Expedition 75 crew members Anil Menon and Sophie Adenot installed components of a high-speed communications antenna outside the ISS. The operation lasted six hours and 23 minutes. The pair are scheduled to finish the antenna installation on Aug. 25, 2026. The EVA was part of ongoing upgrades to the station’s data-relay capabilities.
