NASA announces international crew for SpaceX Crew-14 ISS mission in 2027
NASA revealed that four astronauts from the United States, Japan and Russia will fly on SpaceX Crew-14 to the International Space Station no earlier than spring 2027.
NASA has assigned a four-person crew for the SpaceX Crew-14 mission, slated to launch to the International Space Station in spring 2027. The lineup includes NASA astronauts Kayla Barron as commander and Chris Birch as pilot, joined by Japan’s Makoto Suwa and Russia’s Arutyun Kiviryan as mission specialists. Once attached to the station, the crew will become part of Expedition 75/76, conducting experiments and technology demonstrations aimed at advancing human exploration of the Moon and Mars.
Crew-14 represents the 14th commercial crew flight under NASA’s Low Earth Orbit Program with SpaceX. Barron returns for a second ISS stay, while Birch, Suwa and Kiviryan will each make their first spaceflight. The mission underscores ongoing international cooperation and the role of the ISS in preparing for deeper space travel.
