NASA unveils freshly painted Boeing 777 to boost airborne research

NASA's newly painted Boeing 777, slated to start flying from Langley in 2027, will serve as a versatile platform for Earth-science missions.

The agency has finished a fresh livery on its Boeing 777, which will replace the retired DC-8. Based at Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, the aircraft is expected to begin operations in 2027.
