NASCAR to Switch Truck Series Title Sponsor to FedEx Freight in 2027

NASCAR is close to sealing a multi-year deal with FedEx Freight to become the Truck Series’ entitlement sponsor starting in 2027, ending Craftsman's current naming role.

NASCAR is reportedly finalizing a multi-year partnership with FedEx Freight that would make the carrier the entitlement sponsor of the Truck Series starting in 2027. The move would end Craftsman's latest stint as the series’ title sponsor, a role it reclaimed in 2023. While the exact financial terms remain private, insiders indicate NASCAR is seeking a contract worth low eight figures each year, encompassing purse payouts, rights fees and promotional activation.

The information comes from Jordan Bianchi, who cited anonymous sources involved in the negotiations. The deal is anticipated to be signed in the coming weeks, marking the first change in the series’ entitlement sponsor since Craftsman's return.

Why it matters

The new sponsorship will reshape branding and revenue streams for NASCAR's Truck Series.
