Nashville teen killed in drive-by shooting; reward raised to $20,000
Sixteen-year-old Cameron Frierson was fatally shot after attending a high school football game, and authorities have increased the reward for information to $20,000.
After watching a football game at Pearl-Cohn High School, 16-year-old Cameron Frierson was shot in a drive-by incident that also involved his younger brother, Chris, who was unharmed. Witnesses reported shots coming from a white sedan with tinted windows, and the motive remains unknown. Frierson was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, two miles from the scene, where he later died from his injuries.
His mother, Brittany, said the attack was not about a girl or money, but an unjustified act of violence against her children. A $5,000 reward offered by the Uvalde Foundation for Kids has been increased to $20,000, with sports commentator Clay Travis pledging an additional $15,000 to aid the investigation. Police continue to pursue leads to apprehend the shooter.
