Nathan Fielder's New Documentary Offers Unsettling Look at Elizabeth Holmes

A24 released a trailer for "You Can See Everything," a documentary by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim that follows Elizabeth Holmes shortly before she began serving her prison term.

A24 announced a new documentary titled "You Can See Everything," created by comedian Nathan Fielder and director Lance Oppenheim after three years of secret filming. The project captures Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced founder of Theranos, thirty-four days before she began an 11-year prison sentence, allowing her to speak directly with the crew. A trailer released Monday shows Holmes insisting she is being completely honest, while Fielder probes her statements, leaving many viewers unsettled.

The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, where attendees were required to lock away phones and were monitored for device use. Holmes, convicted in January 2022 on multiple fraud and conspiracy counts, started serving her sentence in a Texas federal prison in May 2023, with a release date listed as March 19, 2032. The documentary will open in theaters in October and will later appear on Apple TV+.

Why it matters

The film provides a rare, in-depth view of a high-profile fraud case and its central figure, sparking public discussion about accountability in tech.
