National Security Advisor predicts India's GDP could reach $38 trillion within two decades
Ajit Doval told graduating students at IIT Roorkee that India's economy may grow from about $4 trillion today to $38 trillion in the next 20 years.
At the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee's graduation ceremony, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval addressed the audience about India's economic trajectory. He stated that the nation's GDP, presently around $4.015 trillion, could expand to $38 trillion within the next 20 years, reflecting massive structural changes. Doval linked this outlook to Prime Minister's designation of the period as "Amrit Kaal," describing it as a promising era for the country.
He encouraged the graduates to draw inspiration from the bravery of Lord Ram, citing a mythic example of courage. Doval also recounted a lesson from his early posting in Sikkim, where a Sherpa taught him three mantras: knowing one's position, destination, and the path to get there and return. The speech combined economic optimism with personal guidance for the new generation.
