Nationwide travel-app outage hits commuters amid ongoing train driver strike
Travel planning apps across the country went down on Wednesday morning, compounding disruptions caused by a train-driver strike.
Around 6 a.m., several digital services used for journey planning stopped working, affecting platforms such as Vy, Ruter, Entur, AtB, Skyss, Fram and Go-Ahead's planner. By about 7 a.m., many of these services began to recover, though Vy warned that ticket purchases in its app might still be problematic. Passengers can still buy tickets on board the trains. The outage coincided with multiple train cancellations linked to the ongoing strike.
