Navitas Solar pledges ₹10,000 crore to build full solar value chain in Gujarat and Maharashtra

Navitas Solar disclosed a ₹10,000 crore investment roadmap that will span the entire solar value chain over the next five years, covering manufacturing of cells, ingots, wafers, battery storage and renewable-energy generation in Gujarat and Maharashtra. The company is already advancing a 2.4 GW solar-cell facility at Sisodara, Gujarat, with an initial outlay of roughly ₹1,200 crore, and is testing pilot lines for ingot and wafer production to enable future scaling.

A 5 GWh battery energy-storage plant is slated for Vadodara, strengthening its storage capabilities. In Maharashtra, Navitas is building two solar parks—200 MW and 25 MW—under both EPC and independent-power-producer arrangements. Its EPC business is also expanding into South Africa to deliver utility-scale projects. Director Ankit Singhania said the investment reflects the firm’s ambition to support India’s clean-energy transition through deeper integration and supply-chain resilience.
