NC showcases Astrae Oratio in Japan and readies Aion 2 for worldwide launch
NC presented a demo of the new RPG Astrae Oratio at the Tokyo Game Show and announced that Aion 2 will go live globally in early October.
South Korean game publisher NC used its booth at the Tokyo Game Show in Chiba to showcase Astrae Oratio, a supernatural role-playing game set in an alternate 1989 Tokyo and created by Japanese studio Dynamis One. The demo attracted about 30,000 attendees, with queue times hitting the organizer-set 120-minute limit and limited-edition merchandise selling out. NC said it will incorporate player feedback and closed-beta results before the game's scheduled 2027 launch.
Meanwhile, the firm ran a global server test on Sept. 17-18 for Aion 2, preparing for early-access access on Sept. 30 and a full launch on Oct. 5 via Steam and NC’s Purple platform, supporting ten languages and regional servers in North America, South America, Europe and Japan. The dual rollout illustrates NC’s strategy to expand revenue from existing IPs, launch new titles internationally, and broaden its portfolio beyond traditional MMOs while customizing services for each market.
