NetApp cites India as its fastest-growing Asian market, driven by BFSI and IT services
NetApp's CEO George Kurian said India is the company's top-growing market in Asia, with banking, manufacturing and government customers fueling revenue.
During the Insight 2026 conference, NetApp chief executive George Kurian announced that India has become the company's fastest-growing Asian market, thanks to strong demand from large banks, financial institutions, manufacturers and central and state government agencies. The San Jose-based data-infrastructure firm has expanded its Bengaluru global capability centre, which now houses roughly 4,000 engineers and conducts the majority of NetApp’s global research and development.
Kurian noted that NetApp leads the all-flash storage segment in India and is deepening its presence through investments and partner collaborations. At the same event, NetApp introduced Novus, a storage platform designed for massive AI and GPU deployments, and revealed a fully managed ONTAP service for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with broader hybrid-cloud and AI capabilities also announced.
