Netflix adds teen drama Sunshine Girls and expands Minimum Wage cast
Netflix revealed a new coming-of-age series called Sunshine Girls and announced that Randall Park will join the cast of the digital-origin show Minimum Wage.
Netflix announced two additions to its young-adult lineup. The first is Sunshine Girls, a heartfelt coming-of-age series from Brat TV, created by Rob Fishman and Nuria Anson, featuring Alma Marian as Olivia, Isabella Fowler as Taylor and Erin Rose Park as Riley. Set in the fictional Valley High of a California suburb, the show follows Olivia’s adjustment after moving from New York City, her friendships, first romances and family challenges, and is scheduled to premiere in December 2026.
The second update concerns Minimum Wage, a new series derived from American High Shorts on YouTube, which will now include Randall Park among its cast. The show, overseen by American High founder Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps, portrays teenage employees coping with demanding managers and the grind of a local pizza shop, continuing the rhythm of its digital origins.
