Netflix Announces Action-Noir Series “The Shooter” Starring Lee Jung-eun and Kim Moo-yul

Netflix added another title to its expanding Korean lineup with The Shooter, an action-noir drama starring veteran character actor Lee Jung-eun and rising star Kim Moo-yul. A photo from a Seoul table read was released, confirming the series' premise: a woman in her seventies, Jeong Suk-ja, is forced back into violence after her grandson is attacked, drawing her into the hidden machinations of the Chunghwa Group. The project reunites Lee and Kim after their collaboration on Juvenile Justice four years ago.

Supporting cast includes Huh Joon-ho, Choi Sung-eun, Bae Na-ra, Seo Hyun-woo and Moon Jong-won, with direction by Lee Kwon and writing by Kim Hee-su. Produced by Studio Dragon, the series joins upcoming Netflix Korean releases such as Mousetrap and The Scandal, as well as upcoming film titles slated for festival and global streaming debuts.
